Affiliates of RI Area ACA Intergroup"In areas where many ACA meetings exist, and Intergroup is generally formed to provide a forum for conducting ACA business within a given geographical area. The individual groups continue to conduct their own group business; however, the groups can select a meeting representative to represent the group at an Intergroup meeting. ...The Intergroup helps coordinate helpline function, public information efforts, hospital and institutions meetings , and ACA events in a given area."
- BRB pg 603-604 Vertical Divider
Seventh Tradition After the group meets its monthly expenses and sets aside a money for a prudent reserve, it is suggested by WSO to send 60% of what is left over to the local Intergroup (IF ONE EXISTS), 30% to your region (if one exists) and balance to the ACA World Service Organization.
"A prudent reserve usually is the amount that equals two month's work of meeting expenses. The meeting expenses would include rent, utilities, and other group expenses." - BRB pg. 609 |

Hello there!
Thank you for reaching out. If you are interested in attending our meeting, please find the meeting info below. For questions, you can text us at (401) 307-1221.
If you're reaching out for any other reason, we will respond to you as soon as I am able.
Overview & Zoom Info for Zoom Kids are Alright ACA:
DATE/TIME
Our virtual group meets on Mondays from 6-7:30 PM Eastern (3-4:30 pm Pacific / 5-6:30 pm Central).
MEETING TYPE
Note: This is a Closed meeting, but the only requirement to join us and ACA is a desire to recover from the affects of growing up in an alcoholic or otherwise dysfunctional family. We welcome you!
(FYI: Open meetings are open to all people such as for observation, family members to attend, etc.)
FORMAT
At this meeting, we open with our standard ACA readings, do newcomer introductions, and then we read from the Red ACA Book - the ACA Fellowship Text ("Big Red Book" or "BRB") if you have a copy. No worries if you don’t have a book, you can still listen along. After reading, we have open time for sharing - about what you got out of the reading, how you're doing, or anything else you'd like to share with the group.
Note: Information can be provided to order a book later if you decide you wish to continue attending our meeting - which we hope you will!
SHARING/READING ORDER
In the Zoom chat, there will be a list of all attendees, and that will be the order that the group will read and share in. You can always say "pass" when it is your turn.
SHARING
What to share? From ACA Literature: "Newcomers can speak about whatever is on their minds. For example, we might say: My name is _________. I'm here because ______. This is my story: ______. I'm feeling ______. I hope to get ________ from coming here."

JOINING THE GROUP
Our group keeps a Contact List, with members' first name, phone number, and e-mail for anyone who would like to receive meeting updates, or wants to do outreach/be in touch with members in between meetings. It is totally optional to join or add your information. Feel free to e-mail me to be added if you're interested.
QUESTIONS?
Don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions. You can also hang out after the meeting ends for "fellowship" time aka "the meeting after the meeting" for any questions you may have.
REMEMBER
"You will not do this alone. Look around you and you will see others who know how you feel. We will love and encourage you no matter what."
